Chairman – NBC 2025 | Former Chairman – HUDCO | President Emeritus – FOCUS

A Civil Engineer from Anna University with 60+ years of experience, is a leading expert in housing, urban development, infrastructure, and sustainability. A former CMD of HUDCO, he has played a major role in shaping national standards through BIS and has served on several key government committees, including MoEFCC’s Expert Appraisal Group, Kerala Urban Policy Commission, Cochin Metropolitan Committee, Ministry of Earth Sciences, and Tamil Nadu Housing & Township Policy. He currently chairs the IGBC Policy & Advocacy Council, BIS Housing & Planning Committee, and the National Building Code of India, and has received 23 major awards recognizing his contributions. He also serves as President of Good Governance India Foundation, promoting smart, green, and sustainable cities  

Dr. Devendra Kumar Shami

Former Fire Advisor & Director NFSC Convenor of All India Fire Service Sports Control Board 

Dr. Devendra Kumar Shami is a veteran fire safety professional with over 44 years of experience across industry and State and Central Fire Services, including advisory roles with the Government of India. A former Fire Advisor and Director, NFSC, he has served on key national committees such as BIS, OISD, and the Standing Fire Advisory Committee, and contributed to major safety and occupational standards. A recipient of the President’s Fire Service Medals for Meritorious (1999) and Distinguished Services (2006), Dr. Shami holds a PhD in Fire and Disaster Management and has authored numerous technical papers at national and international forums.  

Abhishek Chhabra

Assurance Industry Expert FCIA (Firestop contractors International Association) 

Abhishek Chhabra brings nearly two decades of experience in conformity assessment, with deep expertise in fire safety and Passive Fire Protection. He has worked across global compliance standards spanning electronics, industrial systems, construction, and consumer sectors, and actively educates consultants, contractors, manufacturers, regulators, and accreditation bodies. A frequent author and conference speaker, he serves as Director at the Firestop Contractors International Association (FCIA) and the National Fireproofing Contractors Association, and leads tic.guru, an initiative to simplify the Testing, Inspection, and Certification industry.

Ar. Jatin Shah

Chief Operating Officer (COO) — India at Colliers 

Jatin Shah is a seasoned real estate leader with over 22 years of experience in project management and technical advisory across the built environment and real estate sectors. He currently serves as Chief Operating Officer (COO) India at Colliers, where he drives strategic growth, operational excellence, and delivery of complex projects for investors, occupiers, and developers nationwide. At Colliers, he also leads technical practices including data centres and environmental/social audits, and has held key roles such as Chief Strategy Officer and Managing Director of Technical Advisory Services. Jatin holds degrees in Architecture, Engineering, and Business Administration and is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS).
